Telecoms for charities was set up by one of the UK’s leading communications companies to provide the lowest cost telecoms services to UK registered charities.
In our experience, most charities in the UK have to buy their telecoms services at normal market rates, which of course include a profit for the company providing the service.
We had the idea that, rather than just donate a part of our profits to a single charity, we could help all charities by allowing them to buy their telecoms services at virtually cost price. This saving means that more of the charities money can be spent on the cause it represents.
What with all the acronyms and buzzwords used in the telecommunications industry, it can be all too easy for organisations to be misled into paying for over complicated solutions, or buying at what seems like a good price, except it also includes a profit margin for the telecoms provider or reseller.
Having seen many charities over the years spending too much of it’s finances on telecoms, we thought it was time to provide them with a way to not only save money, but to also save the time of lengthy negotiations with numerous suppliers, trying to understand the difference between each company’s proposition.
